Big News …

And, no, I’m not pregnant 😜

I referenced in my last post that I was sticking to quick/easy/crockpot meals, because there’s a lot going on right now. I promised I’d share more about that, so here I am making good on that promise.

On May 20th, Peter resigned from his pastoral position at our current church. We felt the Lord had brought us here for a season and very specific purpose. That purpose has been accomplished and the season is ending. Our last Sunday here will be June 3rd.

So, what’s next? We are planting a church in IL! We are so excited. We have been prayerfully trying to reach people and start a Bible study in our home for baby Christians since last fall. What we didn’t realize was that this desire was the Lord beginning to prepare our hearts to start a new church in a different city. It is our heart’s cry to reach the lost and disciple them to be passionate seekers of Jesus. We want everything we do to be bathed in prayer and evangelism. Church planting is the perfect fulfillment of these desires.

We are so excited for this new chapter in our lives, but it is certainly bittersweet. This has been our home for the past two years and we couldn’t be more grateful. We have made precious friendships that will last a lifetime (special shout out to the Williams family!). We have seen God do incredible things. We have grown in ways we couldn’t have even fathomed. We will always, ALWAYS be thankful for this season in our lives.

I’m going to try to keep up with the blog, but we are moving in 3 weeks. Suffice it to say, life is pretty hectic right now. At bare minimum, I will still (hopefully) be posting weekly menus. You can also expect some posts on decluttering and moving tips (likely after the move). We are so excited for this next chapter in our lives!
